Yabloko

Called the only true opposition party in Russia, the Yabloko party runs on an anti-war message, political reform, anti-corruption, and an end to hostility with Ukraine and, by extension, Europe as a whole. They believe in individual rights, the rule of law, and democratic principles, as stated in their political memorandum. They have not had much recent electoral success, having held no seats in the State Duma since 2007. However, Yabloko has recently gained momentum, particularly due to the Ukraine conflict, to emerge as the anti-war party within the Duma. On August 10th, the Russian Supreme Court canceled Yabloko’s slate of candidates on the grounds of copyright infringement. This came from a lawsuit filed by Rodina. As of now, Yabloko is off the ballot for national elections and in some regional elections, with courts rejecting an appeal. They would not have been a competitive alternative, but simply a symbolic one. Their removal signals that the Kremlin won't even allow that.
